Small French Town

Marquise is just off the Calais-Boulogne motorway (A16)
Marquise is famous for it's quarry where the local marble was mined. There used to be a big cement works there as well, using local chalk - but these are all closed now.

Ok BUT the restaurant is fantastic Hotels (1)

This hotel in my mind is really a motel. It is just off the motorway between Calais and Boulogne. The rooms are small... more travel advice

Always good to read about these out of the way places....If you liked my Budapest pages you would love the other city called Pecs...its 2 and a half hrs by train south. If your even in these neck of the woods again, do visit.Tim
