Small French Town

Marquise is just off the Calais-Boulogne motorway (A16)
Marquise is famous for it's quarry where the local marble was mined. There used to be a big cement works there as well, using local chalk - but these are all closed now.

    Always good to read about these out of the way places....If you liked my Budapest pages you would love the other city called Pecs...its 2 and a half hrs by train south. If your even in these neck of the woods again, do visit.Tim
