They call it the garden of England and it is certainly worthy of the title.
Kent has some of the most lovely coastline in England. There are beautiful gardens, castles, gardens and cathedrals. All in all there is something for everybody.
My husband and I have recently become members of the National Trust and intend to use every opportunity to explore the county we live in.
This is just one of the beautiful churches we have found on our travels recently. Each church tell it's own story and St Peter's church Ightham is no exception.
- Pros:A mix of old and new
- Cons:Towns need tidying up!
- In a nutshell:Plenty to see and do

Nice tips
The gardens look very appealing, as well as the castles you featured. YOu did a nice job of describing the sites and the pictures are well done.
As I am a keen gardener and love Castles, I think I must visit Kent one day, it looks and sounds just beautiful!
Great tips, thanks for sharing! And so many castles to explore... I think I have to put Kent on my "wish list" of places to visit! :) Cheers, Elena
Lovely, lovely Broadstairs- one of my all time favourites:-) D. We popped down for the day last week. Was gorgeous:-) Had chips on the jetty!
Excellent 5 star tips and pics to match - Nice to read about somewhere so close to home - Who would have thought to do a tip about the Dartford Crossing - Great idea ! Mike and Shelley in sunny "Barking Town".
If Kent is the garden, the whole England should be the amazon forest of England!!! WONDERFUL TIPS!
We belong to the National Trust, too... went to Ightham Mote last Sunday and it was beautiful!
I love Tenterden, we had a great journey there on the steam train. Great pages. Tissie
