The Korean capital, population 12 million, inspite of it's mega city statis has still remaining a human face and scale to it. Certainly around some of it's central city area. After venturing to all the tourist sites stroll about and just take it all in. It's a good idea to stay near to the city center to allow getting about on foot. However the city has an excellent subway to get you to a number of key sights and it is easy to use. |
| | Gyeongbokgung Palace Here an entire day could be spent as it's really a large park than simply a palace. |
| | Insadong Tired of parks and palaces, hungry or want a traditional Korean tea than this is the place to be in. |

| Pros: | "Easy to walk around the central area and take in the sites." | | Cons: | "Two and half hours by train from Busan!" | | In A Nutshell: | "Megacity still with charm in a country which has lost much of this through progress." |
