"Ixtapa-Zihuatenajo" Ixtapa by dawnmc

We found a fairly deserted beach in Ixtapa, playa Linda, and it was great, just like we had the whole place to ourselves for the day. The beach and weather were perfect, nice and warm. We spent the day here, with a packed lunch and make-shift shelter. Ixtapa at night was pretty quiet, cause it was January. Most of Ixtapa seemed to be resorts and golf courses. We stayed in Zihuatenajo which is just a few minutes down the road.

Playa la Ropa

Zihuatenajo was a great place to stay. We stayed on Playa Madera but also went over to Playa la Ropa to sunbathe. There are lots of nice restaurants right along the beach, all pretty cheap. The town is pretty compact, you can walk from most hotels to the center of town where there is more restaurants and shops. We were there superbowl weekend and half the bars there were playing the game.
