Yes!!! Ferries were our terror in Norway!!! it could happen that while you are driving your car...so happy...the road finish and you have to take a ferry for 10-20 minutes to reach the other side of a fjord!!! this could be funny for one-two times in a day but if you drive for 200-300 km each day and you have to take many ferries, this is not so funny!!! even because you pay a lot for these ferries!!!!

After this joke i have to say Norway is the second place i like most in my travels!!!! beautiful landscapes, great calm...total relax!!!!
We started our trip from bergen, the fjords capital; here the largest part of fjord-cruises start; Bergen is a middle-size town with a typical fish-market which is very famous in Norway. After this we rented a car and started a trip in fjord region for one week: great landscapes if you drive close to a fjord or if you ship surrounded by high mountains!!! it seems so strange to think that you are not on a lake or a river but on the sea!!! We arrived in Trondheim, the second town in norway; nice place with an old fortress and a war museum.We took a flight to BODO and rented another car; we drove until Narvik....just 300 km!! In Italy it takes 3 hours to make a trip like this, but in Norway you need 5 hours!!! you can't drive fast first of all because roads are very winding. Narvik is the worst place i have seen in Norway; nothing interesting; it is an industrial town where a famous battle was fought during 2 nd world war. From Narvik we started to drive in "Vesteralen" islands and "Lofoten" islands; Lofoten are a fantastic place to see!!! High mountains surround small towns with the typical fishermen houses builded on the sea. We were unlucky because the weather was rainy and we missed the complete atmosphere of this place.
After Lofoten a boat trip of 4 hours brought us again to BODO (nothing special to see) and a flight back to Oslo. I like Oslo...is a capital but it seems not to be in a big town.No one rings hooters in their cars and this is strange for an italian!!!!
I would like to come back to Norway to go to Stavanger in the south and north cap;
i like to contact some Norvegians people, if you like my page write me!!!!

ah...the last thing!!! Thanks to my friend Maurizio, another "Norvegian fan" who was with me in this travel!!!
p.s. he is also a big "Troll" collector and we went to visit the "Troll factory" in a small norvegian town...what a shame!!!!!!!!

This is hte best fjord i have seen in Norway; if you go there have a boat-trip in this fjord. it takes about 30 minutes and you could feel the magic atmosphere of Norvegian fjords. it seems to be on mountain...but you are on the sea!!!
