"discovering Russia" a Russia Travel Page by muttleymilano

I was very curios to discover Russia and i have to say my travel in two weeks did'nt disappoint my expectations.
I think tourism is a new trend for Russia and started just 3-4 years ago; you can feel this in many situations you meet.
Sometimes, in Moscow, i had the sensation that tourists are not so welcome expecially for the older people. Maybe be they feel themselves a little bit far from our life style, the european one.
I found Moscow as a town so big, which is still transformating itself very fast. Probably if you will go there next years you could find many differences with what i have seen.
After Moscow we have been for one week in the "golden ring"; the old Russian town, north east of Moscow; there we discovered how is the life far from the big towns in Russia. Finally we went for three days in St.Petersburg and that was the best part of the travel. This town has something magic. "Hermitage" museum is the best i have ever seen in my life: when you are walking inside you really don't know where you have to look!!! too many fantastic things to see!!
St.Petersburg is a more touristic town then Moscow nad probably more "european".
i did'nt try the russian nightlife but i'm so curios to do that!!
I would like to come back in Russia in winter time to feel the real life-style of Russian people.
