Wow!

by Suzie3 - last update: Mar 11, 2006

A country of amazing people

This village on Lake Atitlan was rebuilding their church one basket at a time carried on their heads. Many areas around the lake were damaged after hurricane Stan in 2005.

Awesome cities

Antigua holds so many beautiful secrets behind those walls.

Those Mayans were fascinating. How did they do it?

These ruins that you can see are just a drop in the bucket to what really lies out there under every hill.

Pros:"We met some wonderful people. The food needs a little work but the beer was good."
Cons:"Guatemala City..just a short ride to get out of it but we were more than ready. Traffic and diesel fumes."
In A Nutshell:"So much better than we had ever imagined. Can't wait to go back."
