DEAR FRIENDS: WE KEEP OUR VT WEBPAGE SIMMERING - SO MANY THINGS ARE GOING ON THAT THERE IS NO TIME FOR VIRTUAL TOURIST FOR THE MOMENT.
IT WILL NOT BE FOR TOO LONG, WE HOPE, AND WE CERTAINLY WILL TRY TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH ALL THE GOOD FRIENDS WE AQUIRED THANKS TO VT!

Let's introduce ourselves : RaHeNi is the name we choose and it stands for Allain and Jeanne- Marie.

We live in Deurne, (Antwerp) in Belgium and are the parents of Hery, our son, who studied at Webber International University, Florida and is starting his career as professional basketball-player and of Nirina, our daughter, who is at Highschool in the Atheneum of Deurne.

We discovered Virtualtourist thanks to our friend Noro-Liva and participated in a meeting in Antwerp and one in Brussels. At both occasions we made a lot of friends and Virtualtourist became part of our live.

Allain's origins are from Madagascar and Jeanne-Marie is Flemish with strong roots in the Netherlands, and our children are a beautiful mixture of all that.

Before Jeanne-Marie knew Allain, she travelled to US and was aupair by a family in Long Island, New York. She lived and worked one year in Holland and travelled with friends to Austria and to Rhodos, an island in Greece.

Allain made the long trip from Madagascar to France to study. After that he wandered to Belgium and the Netherlands and met Jeanne-Marie.

Travels they made together :
- Many times to France, Paris (where the in-laws live), Normandy, Bretagne, Vendee, Pays Basque, Pyrenees, Avignon, Vosges, ...
- Often to Holland as we feel very much at home in this country : Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Tilburg, Breda, Zeeland, Friesland ...
- To Madagascar : Hery was 3.5 y at that time, we started out in London, had a stop in Frankfurt, stayed 24 hours in Moskou (when the old regime was still on), had a stop in Cairo, Odessa, Jemen, saw the sunrise in Tanzania and arrived finally in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
- To Tunesia : by car to Marseille, 24 hours on the boat, by car to Tunis, La Skhira, Sfax, Kairouan, Jerba, Matmatah, Bizerte, Sousse, Aindram,Gabbes and just past the Algerian border in Hanaba.
- To Germany.
- Allain went with a friend to Martinique
- To Hungary : when Hery was exchange student in the US, we had a girl of Hungary and of course we went to visit her family and her country
- And of course a visit to Floridato see this beautiful country and our son.

Our pictures are from before the "digital camera era" so we cannot insert them here. Maybe some of them might be good enough to be scanned, if so, we will insert them later.
June/July 2004 we went to Madagascar again with our daughter, Nirina.

Virtualtourist is a great site and we hope to make many more friends.

Jeanne-Marie, dankjewel voor het vertalen van de tekst over de diefstal van de tas van Mohamed Alher in het frans ! Het heeft hem erg goed geholpen bij de politie en het ministerie in Bamako.
