"Wellcome back to the roman empire!" Carthage by schlumpf
Carthage Travel Guide: 134 reviews and 494 photos
Carthage, the world’ known historical site, is simply an amazing place, full of history, that brought me back in the time...
From the european comunity to the roman empire, the step wasn’t so easy... ):-
Carthage has a lot of sites, from the Antonine Bath, the roman theathre, the Amphiteathre, the roman’ villas to the museums, a lot to see and moreover a lot to “smell”....
In Carthage you will have a lot of sites to visit, but my favourite, is absolutely the Antnonine Bath, a pretty huge site, where you can easily detect the life style of the Empire. And...com’on there was (and there is) also the sea view!!!!
From another point of view, i think that those sites are not conserved so well, actually, there is no “security” asnd everyone is free to walk wherever, as none is checking you...this is not so cool!
- Pros:full of history
- Cons:a bit too turistic

Some useful info. Thanks.
Good opinions. Interesting place, full of history but not my favourite in Tunisia.
Belle foto, io purtropo ho visto catedrale dal lontano, mio agente non ha previsto di visitarla, che pecato
Awesome! One of my favorite books is Polybus' "The Rise of the Roman Empire" which is about the Punic Wars against Carthage. I wonder if there is any traces of the city before Scipio destroyed it.
