Agra, a very caotic industrial city, is the symbol of India, due to the most important monument, the beautifull Taj Mahal.
The city is pretty close to Delhi, indeed there are just 200 Kms in beetween, a very quick ride, but a day off from Delhi would not be anought to smell and to visit all the monuments and sights that there are in Agra.
The main problem you will find out here will be the pollusion: indeed, Agra,is one of the most polluted city in the whole world, and you will find it out at the first second you will be walking in his streets.
That said, Agra is an amazing and very interesting city, fullfilled, as said before, of very important monuments, like the world’ famous Taj Mahal or the obviously amazing Agra Fort, places that will amazed you during your visit.
Agra is reckon as the Taj Mahal city, but is not only that |
| | The old part of the city is a very interesting place where to spend an hour or something like that, simply chilling around, watching hairdresser at work, people buying fruits and vegetable or people sitting in the street corners...normal life...that’s one of the latest true view of Agra...
If you walk trough the Taj Area or the Agra fort are, you will meet only tourist trappers, street sellers, fake guides and so on...obviously not the right person to meet...
As usual, when a place is in the middle of the tourist circuits, here you’ll be stressed more from street’ sellers, but in the other way, here there is more competition on prices, so you will never have any problem on find’ out the right accomodation, also if you do not have a lot to spend...but, talking about Agra’s accomodations and restaurants, please take a lot of care...check my tips and check my bad experience! |
