Taputapuatea Marae on Raiatea is the most sacred marae in all of Polynesia, dedicated to five gods including Oro, the bloodthirsty god of war who demanded human sacrifices.
Mount Temehani - The mountain is the only place where the flower Tiare Apetahi grows. It is also the mythic birthplace of the major Polynesian gods
