Holding a strike is something very common in France. When I was in Paris , I was told that the employees of Eiffiel Tower just had a strike the day before I arrive. So you better have a contingent plan ( like visiting somewhere nearby ) in hand ! You will never know when that is gonna happen !

I was sitting with my friend at this unique fountain park near Goerge Pompidou when an old man approached us and asked for money. He looks fit , nicely dressed so we ignored him . when he moved to the tourist a few steps away from us, my friend asked me to see what this so called beggar was holding .... .A HANDPHONE for god sake 5c*!!!
