Its a memorial to French Fighters of French Resistance during WW II .Its on the Rive Droite of Pont De l'Alma. A lot of people put their signatures on the wall near the flame. So I also followed. But really suprised when I saw people wrote " Diana Forever " or " In Memory of old Diana " .....and now I remember my friend Patrick told me Diana and Dodi was killed at the underpass there.

The only bridge that is made of wood and is for pedestrain only ...thats where I am supposed to meet my friend Romain at 9.15am but there was an accident in the tube so I was late. I am so sorry Romain. And when I was there...I discover that he bought some croissant and coffee ..how nice of him...and we had breakfast on the Pont des Arts . It was a beautiful morning ....and its cool to dine on the bridge (my first )...but then the wind came and blew our paper bags away ...there goes our serviette ...lol...

ATLC Sun May 11, 2008 07:38 UTC Excellent page with lots of new angles on Paris. If you love the Eifel tower, go visit Briare, a bridge built by Eifel. Same effect on me: lots of angles! | Nemorino Thu Oct 19, 2006 11:11 UTC Congratulations on writing an excellent Paris page with fine photos and insightful, well-written tips!
