We visited the island for one week in mid-October 2002 when our children had their half term break from school in Scotland. This was an excellent time to visit Rhodes as there weren't many people around (it's almost the end of their tourist season) and it was still nice and warm. At that time of year, it's also cheap as it is out of the high season. For a fuller description of our 2002 holiday, see the travelogue and tips.

Whether it's sunbathing, swimming, walking, nightclubbing, sightseeing, there is something for everyone on Rhodes regardless of age or interests. One week isn't enough to fully appreciate the island. We would love to go back again and would recommend anyone who's never been to consider visiting this wonderful Greek island.
