Ljubljana Travel Guide: 1,958 reviews and 4,376 photos
Ljubljana is the capital of Slovenia [officially named Republika Slovenija] & has around 300000 inhabitants of almost 2 million of them in whole Slovenia. The whole country is enriched with a lot of natural beauties like the Julian Alps, Postojna caves, Bled & Bohinj lakes a.s.o., but the capital is most often the tourists' destination - for a reason!
Lonely Planet says 'Ljubljana is a smaller Prague without the hordes of tourists. By far Slovenia's largest and most populous city, it feels like a clean, green, self-contented town rather than an industrious municipality of national importance.'
The city center is not so big, so that gives you the opportunity to thoroughly check out everything you're interested in. I went there for a one-day trip since it's so close to my city - Zagreb. This page is therefore gonna be a reflection of my experiences. Enjoy!
