Cres is a beautiful island in the north part of the Adriatic I've visited for the first time
[since I can remember...]. The interesting thing about it is that the research has shown
that it's the biggest Croatian island! Formerly Krk was thought to be the biggest, but the
measurements granted us some new information... ;)
Another very important thing is that it's one of the fewer places inhabited by
griffon vultures [Gyps fulvus]!
It's a national reserve, where people take care of only 150 of these special creatures!
Heavenly beaches, bursting Sun, old churches & great cheese are quite a
good reason to drop down there! ;)
The beach in Lubenice is shown on the photo... Isn't it just amazing?!
