Trains leave from / to Stockholm pretty often & a one-way ticket costs around 70 SEK. Note that the price may vary if you buy the ticket in Uppsala or in Stockholm. And be sure to use you ISIC or any student card! The schedules change around mid August & beginning of January every year!

Around Uppsala - Gamlis :)

A local bus ticket costs 20 SEK & is valid for 2 hours! That's about enough time to take a trip to Gamla Uppsala. It takes around 20 minutes to get there & you basically need half an hour to walk around the grave mounds & check out the church. The buses are leaving regularly from Stora Torget.
