Lord Nelson Hotel: Another lucky upgrade Lord Nelson Hotel Review

Throughout our trip, Bobby and I had no problem at all finding a hotel room. We cut it close in New Brunswick by getting the last room at the 1st hotel we tried, but everything worked out. Halifax was a slightly different story. After driving ALL day, skimming 3 Provinces, we just wanted to get out of the car. Simple request, no? So, we picked out a hotel downtown that was booked up but by chance, the Lord Nelson had JUST called them saying they had 2 cancellations and therefore 2 rooms now available. The lady at the 1st hotel passed on the info, let Bobby use the phone and we got a room!

Also, the Lord Nelson, we were told was closer to the retail and nightlife area AND was across from gardens.

Unique Qualities: And the best news yet: When we got there, we got an upgrade! Another suite for Bobby and Katey! Ya know, every single time that I have had a hotel room in Canada, I've gotten upgraded.

It was another room with a great view, though the bathroom wasn't as cool. This suite also had 2 full beds rather than 1 king. All in all, Bobby and I were very pleasantly surprised with the room. Halifax, that weekend, had an air show and many people in town. We were very lucky to get a room at all.
