Poe Valley State Park Travel Guide: 6 reviews and 8 photos

As is evident from some of my other pages, there are quite a few state parks in central Pennsylvania that make either nice day trips or weekend escapes. Most of them are within one to two hours from my hometown near Lewisburg. Due to the numbingly cold spring fed waters of RB Winter and the popularity of Ricketts Glen, we tended to go to Poe Valley instead. Poe Valley and Poe Paddy are located near the town of Millheim, between Mifflinburg and State College, in the Bald Eagle State Forest. Other than swimming, there are quite a few other activities in the area like hiking, boat rental, off roading, camping...etc.

Interesting page. Poe Valley/Poe Valley are basically my backyard so I've been there a gazillion times. You're right, there are no road signs back there! That's the fun of going though...exploring!
