The Great Smoky Mountains

An average of seven feet of rainfall a year gives these mountains a lush and rich range of blue and green hues.

Transylvania County

Numerous waterfalls can be found off the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is right on US 276, close to the Visitor's Center, so you can't miss it

Smoky Mountain National Park

An eleven mile loop in the west end of the park through Cades Cove offers a chance to see wildlife in a protected environment, as well as see a community that once thrived with scenery that's as beautiful as you'll find.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Mountains, lakes, wildlife, scenic driving & hot springs
  • Cons:The mountain roads are steep with frequent descents & hairpin turns. Drive stick transmission, you have more control.
  • In a nutshell:Another one of Mother Nature's gems
