We got a great deal on this hotel online very last minute, as AmericaWest lost our reservations. We stayed here in spring 2001 - the rooms were dated, but clean, nothing memorable. I couldn't tell you even when we stayed there which tower we were in.
Food at Sherwood Forest Cafe was overpriced, but decent and there when we wanted it. And there's a Krispy Kreme on-site. Yum!
Unique Qualities: The little touches around the hotel - like this wizard and dragon near one of the elevator banks - are the reason we stayed here, as I'm into medieval/fantasy stuff.
I was looking forward to the using the pool, but it wasn't open at 7 or so in the morning when I wanted to use it, and it was jam-packed with kids in the afternoon. No quiet place to relax.
Be sure to catch the "Slaying the Dragon" mini-show out front - not nearly as spectacular as some Vegas hotels, but still good for kitsch value!
