A Loverly Week in London

by cruisingbug - last update: Apr 29, 2004

I Take My Tea with Milk, Thank You

Big Ben, London
A lifelong Anglophile, I had been planning this trip to London all my life, really. But finally, in 2002, we went! All those icons of history were there for me to gaze upon and explore (look kids, Big Ben...Parliament!). A confirmed coffee-holic, though, I came away from England with a new love of fine tea - taken with a splash of milk and a scone now, of course! Good thing there's a nice tea room near home!

Pros:"Culture, history, tea and scones!"
Cons:"Didn't get to venture out into the countryside..."
In A Nutshell:"A must-see city for any traveler!"

Hi! Do you remember if they have a dress code? I have seen some where jackets and ties plus no jeans or trainers are allowed. Could you tell me please? thanks

Bartenders in London usually seem to have a good sense of humor! (re: the "hard" cider), which always adds to a trip here. Great tips - I could come back here again and again!
