Perhaps this is the one and only famous tourists' attraction spot in Kepong - The Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM). It's a preserved forest, with a canopy walkway, ponds, streams, museums etc.

Taking a 94A rapidKL bus will get you there. The final stop of this bus is Kepong Indah (that's where I stay). Get off the bus right after the traffic lights (on the bus, you'll see a big FRIM billboard on your right across the road) before the final stop. Walk down the slanting road and turn right at a crossroad (there's a Chinese temple further down). FRIM will be right in front of you!
Or, just ask the bus driver to let you know when you are there.
In case you miss it, just get off the bus at the final stop (in front of the Kepong Indah Petronas petrol station). Walk down to the main road and then to the right. It takes 10-15 minutes to get back to the traffic lights on foot.
KEPONG
I moved to this town in 1984 with my family. Kepong to me is a town located strategically, because it's adjacently linked to the city of Kuala Lumpur and many famous towns such as Petaling Jaya, Sungai Buloh, Selayang, Batu Caves etc.
Also, it's a town with lots of good restaurants especially Chinese restaurants, not to mention shopping complexes, multitudinous shops, temples, etc. You can almost find everything here!
- Pros:FRIM - A good place for fresh air ~
- Cons:FRIM - Entrance fees is required!
- In a nutshell:Kepong - a small town with great fascinations.
