Amazon Adventure

Just Imagine...I was fifteen days of fun in the most magnificent rainforest in the world. Viewing animals as they live in the wild: macaws, parrots, monkeys, sloths, pink dolphins and the most powerful eagles on earth (they can lift a pig or sloth and fly it to the top of a tree.!) Hiking in the rainforest, meet native people, canoe, swim, enjoy dance, party or relax on deck and watch the river go by.

So, we spent 3 days in Manaus. Went to the outdoor markets and checked out the sights. Before getting aboard the boat. (which I thought would be a revamped fishing boat, Not! Wow biggest insight....

To hold expectation will bring disappointment...so don't!

Accommodations were aboard a cool, twenty-four passenger riverboat that has air-conditioned, double-occupancy cabins with private bathroom and shower, delicious meals served on board, full bar, library and observation deck. Only to be greeted and joined by a world-renowned Brazilian naturalist! I was extactic, still am.

...patience my pirhana, I'll be back

I was so excited lookling forward to meeting and spending time with my new companions. I won't hope, I declare! for them to be fun, possitive attitude and sense of adventure. On this trip we got to swim with the dolphins, sit under waterfalls, walk white sandy beaches that felt like velvet, catch peacock bass and hold emerald boas at a snake sanctuary and be amongst a hatching hookery!.

Cons:"the bites and excessive weight gain. would like to have seen more of the river and other places."
In A Nutshell:"I will return, great for nature lovers you get it all!"

while I didn't have quite the exotic experience you did, since I stayed in the city with friends, I had a *daytrip* in the jungle + that gave me the humidity, bugs, sand, trees, birds, + oh yes humidity, for a lifetime! ;-O Until the next time, anyway...
