    • Palm Springs is an "outdoors" type of city so just be sure to take certain precautionos when playing out in the desert or hiking in the surround mountains. In winter flash floods can occur and evidence of such floods can be seen at the base of the tramway off of Highway 111. In the summer be sure to stay hydrated and have plenty of fluids with you when hiking because tems can reach as hish as 120 degrees.
