A Drive Across Northern Arizona

My trip through Northern Arizona was an impressive one. I experienced many "firsts" on our drive down old Route 66. It took me through landscape unlike anything I have ever seen. The red earth, orange rocks, canyons and mesas were absolutely beautiful during the Arizona sunsets. Having come from Thailand I had never before experienced snowfall or seen geography like I had here. It was here in north eastern Arizona where I experienced my first snowfall...& that's a memory that will stay with me forever.

Navajo Nation

I was impressed with Grand Canyon & Canyon de Chelly, but my time spent on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation was by far the most rewarding time for me on this trip. Meeting the Native American people and learning a bit of their history really made this trip a fantastic one.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Friendly people and the most amazing scenery you may ever see.
  • Cons:Not so much Thai food to be found ;)
  • In a nutshell:If you are in the Western United States you've got to take a trip to Northern Arizona

Your tips here really capture the spirit of this place, well done! I love this part of the country, but still have only seen a part of it.

I really enjoyed touring Arizona with you. Your introduction text is outstandin, almost poetic. My favorites of your information was Canyon de Chilly and the Navajo Nation. Thanks for sharing such informative insights.
