Name of Shop: Mah Boon Krong(MBK)
MBK is one of many mega shopping complexes in Bangkok. It's a modern mall just like the malls found throughout the west. The MBK center has it all.....clothing, jewlery, electronics, restaurants, movie theatre, and just about anything else you can imagine on 5 levels. The best thing about MBK is that its an airconditioned mall located in Siam Square...a central part of Bangkok.
What To Buy: A great place to come to if you want to have a Thai artist reproduce any old photograph into an oil painting or charcoal drawing. They do beautiful work!
What To Pay: This isn't the place to come if you are looking to haggle or bargain. The prices are fixed but with so much to choose from you are sure to find a deal.

All staff members were singing HBD song and clapping their hands altogether, really made my kid feel happier! she couldnt quit smiling because of that surprised incident. | alternateuniverse Wed Jun 4, 2008 10:02 UTC Your post on MBK- you said it's a great place if you're looking for a thai artist to reproduce an old photograph. Do you know how much they charge, generally? Cheers. | shintarojon Wed May 24, 2006 11:04 UTC kabilugan ng buwan, buwan ng kabilugan!!! try this tagalog tongue twister!! greetings from manila | andreasfmpro Fri Apr 21, 2006 01:21 UTC Beautiful pic of an important monument! On the lighter side, remember what Confucius said: "Man who goes through airport sliding door sideways, is going to bangkok!" :D |
