The prang of Wat Arun on the bank of Chao Phraya River is one of the Bangkok famous landmarks. From a French to Thonburi made in the reign of King Narai it can be seen that the temple existed when Ayutthaya was Siam?s capital. It is called the ?temple of the dawn? and the most beautiful view of it is from the east side of the river at sunset.
