"Amazing Thailand" Thailand by wondersF

My first trip to Bangkok was long ago in 1972. I did not see much of Thailand.
I returned in 1978. I was able to see some up market joints of Bangkok. Comparing with Kuala Lumpur, I would rate the city as interesting.

It was not until 1995, when I first crossed the border with an old "Beetle" and that trip was the beginning of my new love - the urge to travel and learn more about the places in Thailand.

I did not speak Thai, but I have criss-cross the country in so many points that I grew affectionate with some of the cities that I frequented.

Recalling the best times, in 1995 Petrol was cheap at Baht 98 per liters, highways were monocarriage. Food by the roadside was cheap and beer was marginally cheaper.

Today 2010, the country changed a lot with more passengers car on the road. Some of the bad driving behaviors like unnecessary use of horns had also becoming a norm.

Yes, changes that trimming my liking for the country are getting more and more noticeable.

I still love going across to Thailand.
