Fables of the Reconstruction Welcome.
I am still currently in Guatemala trying to improve my Spanish.Coming into Guatemala at 5:00 am on the crazy 'chicken' bus was amazing...a whole other 'world.' I plan on seeing some 'wacked out' countries in Latin America in 2007. My camera was stolen but I hope to get another one at some point.
Ive seen most of the US,My favorite US cities to visit and have a good time are New Orleans ,Louisiana and Austin,Texas. I am now 'taking my time in Central America' Saw alot of Mexico..and now I'd like to find a bar or hostel to work in or start up myself.
I have lived in several countries. I lived for a time in Colorado Springs and I spent almost 5 years living in co-opeatives and one hostel in Austin,TX.I loved meeting all of the foreign exchange students at the University of Texas; with which I had a wonderful time .(and had a lot of fun showing them around town.)
Texas has a stereotypical 'Cowboy' image that does not apply to all the 25 million people living in the state. It can be extremely diverse in the big cities and not quite like what most people stereotypically think, especially if you know where to go.
Austin has a great bar scene and is known to true music lovers as a reputable' world famous',qualitly live music town.I was introduced to hundreds of artists while working at a radio station, one of my shows was a local music show......
I am now becoming more knowledgable about Guatemala and am improving my Spanish,so we'll see what happens....maybe I can teach English or open up a music venue or guest house somewhere in this amazing world of ours.
