Name of Shop: Regent, Oxford and Bond Streets
Londoners love to shop, and our hotel in St. James District was close to all the hot spots. You can make a big shopping loop by walking up Regent Street to Oxford, then over to Bond Street. You'll see a line up like the Vogue advertising pages. My fashionista daughter wanted to shop in Top Shop (Kate Moss hearts Top Shop, apparently), where she spent a good 45 minutes with my credit card. She DOES know how to shop. She picked out a very attractive and flattering top that was heavily discounted and was priced at only 25 pounds. And I told her she could pick out one thing of anything she wanted. Now, THAT is a good daughter. We were in the shopping district on a Saturday afternoon, and the area is teeming with shoppers. If there is a recession going on, I couldn't see any evidence of it.
