It has been almost one year since I traveled to Rome and here I am just getting started on my Rome page. Why has it taken me so long?
First of all, Rome is huge and there is so much to see. I must confess that the thought of putting together a page on Rome has been overwhelming. Instead of doing my page, I have been carrying my notes on my trip to Rome in my computer bag to and from work every day for the past 6 months.
Second, there are many fantastic VT pages on Rome. I don't feel that I can do justice to Rome, nor can I produce a page that will tell you anything that hasn't been said much more eloquently on other members' pages. On the other hand, omitting my page on Rome would be like leaving a huge gaping hole in my travelogue of my wonderful trip to Europe during the summer of 2004. Without question, Rome was a highlight. I cannot put off this page forever.
It is time to unload my Roman notes, jot down my thoughts, and transfer my photos to this page. If nothing else, my computer bag will be a few ounces lighter! |

Nemorino Thu Apr 5, 2007 22:00 UTC Great advice, but . . . if there's one thing I'm not, it's an early riser! So either I'll have to turn my life on its head or find some other way to see all these great things in your tips. | Pawtuxet Wed Feb 28, 2007 15:11 UTC You've done an excellent job on your Rome page! Thank you for helping me remember so many wonderful things. Love your cover photo. | Maurizioago Mon Dec 25, 2006 20:51 UTC Nice page.
