Hua Qing Jia Yuan: Students, look no further...
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • good hotels (and i presume CHEAPER than those in town) and facilities near this place. you got 2 supermarkets, gyms, a swimming pool (indoor), hairdressing salons, McDonalds, a sushi place, a laundromat....western food, pizza...lots of koreans living around here. mostly foreigners in this place. yeah, complete with security guards and elevator ladies!

Unique Qualities: For students who wanna stay for a few months, look no further. huaqing jiayuan is the PERFECT place in close proximity of the subway and school (for Peking U, Tsinghua and Beijing Language & Cultural) with condominium facilities. i got my 2 bedroom for $3300 and my friend's 3 bedroom for $4500. how to rent a place? just go to this place and look at the windows for contact numbers (do not go through an agent!) best to have a chinese speaker with you to negotiate!

I remember the no flush outhouses in rural America. These evolved into the portable potties at events and construction sites. Often there are stories of trying to use the over flowing pot & we sit on it. City people had chamber pots.
