The Netherlands is a wonderful country with Amsterdam being it's main city. As much as it deserves all of its acclaim, PLEASE don't overlook the rest of the country. Having said that "What a city"! You can make your stay in a casual style , eating from the many bakeries and enjoying the parks, or you can stay at the very nice hotels and use the international restaurants for fine cuisine. Either way you will probably end up passing each other at the Ann Frank House, the Floating Flower Market, or wandering through the Red Light District. |
| | Take day trips Several cities are quite close. For instance Delft, The Hague, and Haarlem, are only a few minutes by train. Besides the cities places like Keukenhof (botanical garden) and Zaanse Schans (old style Holland , windmills etc.) are easily reached. |
| | Visit the rest of the country Included are pages on, Gouda, Middleburg, Maastricht, and Vlissengen. |
