On the North Sea | View of town from seawall |
Vlissingen is a city on the southwestern coast of the Netherlands. The city itself is almost quaint yet it has a section with some very modern looking architecture and a children's theme park next to the marina. |
| | Nice town This is a fairly busy place with a small town feel. There is a return ferry to Belgium from here. People seemed to go at a relaxed and friendly pace. |
| | Theme Park Looked like a great place for kids but my wife wouldn't let me go in. |

myriam_c Thu Feb 9, 2006 15:18 UTC Thanks for your comments on my Vlissingen page. You're right about the abstract modern buildings ... quite a contrast! My son studied in Vlissingen for 4 years. He lived in the old part of town. Charming but smallish! |
