Cape Town | Cape Town is worth the plane ride! |
Magnificent place. Diverse South African culture with a Euopean flavor. The people have a very progressive attitude. Great food. Rent a car and see the country. Go now! |
| | The City is surrounded by Signal hill, Table Mountain, Lions Head, and the ocean. Cape Town proper is in what is called the "City Bowl". Not as expensive and touristy as the waterfront area, more local. Great place to stay. |
| Monday through Saturday 9:00 to 5:00 |
| | Greenmarket Square is just off Long Street, at Longmarket, in the City Bowl. They start setting up at 6:00 every morning, except Sunday, and start tearing down around 4:30. I hear there is not as much variety of goods as there once was, but still many "bargain" prices for interesting goods. |
