Got to explore the ruins.

St. John is dotted with ruins, most of them the remains of sugar mills. This picture was taken at the ruins that are on the North Shore Road.

Must make a stop at the Chateau Bordeaux.

This is a great place to stop for a smoothee and some pictures. It is the observation deck for restaurant "Chateau Bordeaux" on...where else? Bordeaux Mountain!
And if you are an afficionado of fine dining, make a reservation for dinner while you're there. The view alone is worth the trip.

I lived in St. John for a while. This was taken from my porch on Bordeaux Mountain shortly after a rain storm had passed through. I thought for a while that I might get to touch a cloud but this was as close as it got.

Taryn~ How on earth did you end up living on St. John for awhile? I'm headed there for the first time in December and staying at Maho Bay. I'll take your advice and avoid the scooters! Thanks for your tips!~Paige
