What were we doing there? | We don't smile for anyone. |
Flew into Zagreb and didn't know what to expect. Four English eedjits with an unquenchable thirst and big appetites.
Turns out it reminded me of a more orderly Budapest , the food was plentiful , Karlovachko was much nicer than the crap we drink at home and the local population all looked like models.
We could get a drink everywhere and the World Cup was shown in every conceivable place. Not a bad start.
People also kept asking us why we were there ,we aren't backpackers or sex tourists ( not for want of trying ) we were just 4 lads who wanted to go somewhere with no English people. |

KristaB Wed Jun 9, 2004 21:47 UTC I'm so glad you enjoyed local beer. Some things are essential, right? Oh, and BTW, don't rob the bank, go to Vis. Nema problema. | Nykaenen Thu Feb 5, 2004 23:16 UTC Hey George, that's not Exibition Pavilion but Croatian National Theatre! Either too much of Karlovacko or too much staring at "models" (hopefully both :-)) Just saw other tips--please say you did not stay at Petrinjska and go to Sokol!!! Please :-)))))))) | zrim Thu Feb 5, 2004 22:56 UTC Yes, the Croats are surprisingly tall. | garridogal Sun Feb 1, 2004 18:00 UTC "we aren't backpackers or sex tourists ( not for want of trying )" HA!!! That's funny! |
