If urban wastelands are your kind of town, come to Worthing it got redeveloped after the war (possibly by Stalin ) and is uniquely characterless even for the English seaside.

Are all bloody multi story car parks ,i think we have more than anywhere else on the coast. If you like car-parks Worthing's perfect , if you're normal then they tend to dominate the entire town.

This town is also so boring that we have a memorial to pigeons killed in World War 2 ( which is closed )

The town a collection of smuggling villages that gradually got sucked together by the Edwardian " bathing boom" but the village centres of Heene , Tarring ,Broadwater , Offington and Goring can still be found.
Major events in the town's history include several bonfire night riots and an attempt to drive out the Salvation Army by forming a " Skeleton Army " of pub regulars that required the reading of the riot act by the Army at the town hall.
