Living in the Sudan

I was born in Saudi Arabia and lived there till i was 7, when i moved to Sudan. My father had built a house in Ba7ry (bahry) on the north side of khartoum across the river nile.... i felt like an outsider when i was taken to Unity High School, this was the one Micheal taught at with the spoilt rich kids.. to tell u the truth its nothing like that people are down to earth but might not kno wuts goes on around them in the real sudan... from house to car to school back home, thats how i lived.. untill i decided to explore khartoum and find out wut it is really about.... at the age of 10 i was out playin football with children in our maydan.. my father refused for me to live a different life to others just because of the advantage of riches.. he comes from a village just off the town of shendy 500 km north of the capital called gandatu where me and my sisters had to visit every summer when we were living in saudi arabia... i am now 16 and i am doin my gcse's in london and i want out of this place to go back to the motherland, SUDAN.. my mother is british and my father is sudanese they met years back in jineena west of the country.. my father was a maths teacher and mother was an ex-patriate english teacher who had left her home in suffolk to find a new life in africa...
i found it different in sudan families were much bigger i had about 100 first cousinz lol and i am not exadurating... people were much freindlier the first day i went to school i found one of my bestest of freinds Khalid who befreinded me the moment i walked into the classroom a lost infant... many followed.. some rich and some not as rich lol but people are the same out there rich or poor they still ride public transport, and still work their hardest... sudanese people hav experienced the worst times ever.. the colonisation of sudan in the late 1800's till jan 1 1956 left its scars behind.. the 300 year long civil war had started because of the segrigation the british left between the black arabs and negroid people of sudan... many people work for the government in khartoum but dont get paid much but their bills, petrol and rent is paid for them.. doctors get just enough to pay for their monthly transport and lunch... khartoum is a small city compared to its nabour cairo but for its inhabitants it is beautiful... it isnt where tourists should hang about in because it doesnt hav much to offer i advise the pyramids in the north of sudan for sight seeing and port sudan if u r interested in seeing sharks.. it has been recorded recently that u will see more sharks in a snorkling visit in port sudan in a day than in sharim al sheikh (egypt) in a year.. khartoum is also quite unlike egypt.. mosques are to be seen everywhere .. i advise u to link up with a inhabitant of khartoum before entering u will need guiding for yr trip som local knowlege might prove to be the best...
anyway hope u find my report interesting unlike micheals i have a lot more happier memories in khartoum....
