"VERONA" Verona by Josibezz

Verona is a city and provincial capital in Veneto, Northern Italy. The city, also known as Urbs Nobilissima, is the second biggest city in Veneto (after Venice). It is one of the cities that has better preserved its artistic heritage in Italy.

One of the most famous monuments in town is the Roman Amphitheater, commonly known as The Arena. It was constructed in the first century outside the city walls, but in the third century the walls were extended to include this arena.

'Palazzo Barbieri' is on the right as you can notice on this picture.
In front of the Arena sits the 'Piazza Bra'. On this huge square there are many bars, restaurants and souvenir shops and some interesting buildings.

Juliet's family home

As everyone probably know Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet’s love story takes place in Verona. This city is not only the perfect place for this story to take place for its middle age ambient, there are also some real references here. The house you’re seeing on the photo is the "real" home of Juliet’s family (the Capuleti). The building dates from the 13th century and it’s a major tourist attraction.
