SALAD KING: Cheap and Tasty Thai!
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: SALAD KING

Forever popular Asian Restaurant The Salad King has just received a much needed renovation and the results are excellent. A modern interior now compliments the always excellent food. Best thing is that a meal here does not break the bank as most entrees (if not all) are under 10$.
This is a great place to grab a quick and tasty meal if you happen to be on the Yonge Street strip as it is close to the Eaton Centre and all the Yonge St. shopping!

    Open everyday except Sunday.

Favorite Dish: Pad Thai (obvious) - one of the best in the city, Shrimp Panang - creamy and spicy, great coconut taste, Daily Specials - never disapoint, etc...everything so far tastes good!

Thai Chili: Best Thai in Downtown
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Thai Chili- NOW CLOSED

UPDATE: SADLY THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED!

Lovers of Thai food rejoice, this little known gem is the real deal.
Having discovered this spot about a year ago I cannot believe it is not more popular.
Located on "interesting" Queen Street West right across from the Caban Lifestyle Store..this resto offers authentic dishes with friendly laid back service at affordable prices with no line ups that you get at other Thai joints. Lots of specials offered with many combo plates.

    Favorite Dish: Penang curries
    Phad Thai (of course!)
Spicy Beef Salad out of this world.

    KIM__: Excellent Vietnamese
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: KIM

Kinda plain looking but the pay off is excellent and affordable Vietnamese grub.
This place easily has the best springrolls and Pho in town for my money.
Service comes with a smile (a rarity in Chinatown) and the location adjacent to
Kensington Market makes it an excellent fresh pre-shopping lunch spot.

    Favorite Dish: springrolls
    pho
    bun
    vietnamese coffee

SAN Korean Restaurant: Korean - without the BBQ
  • Tip Rating: [Not enough ratings yet]
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: SAN Korean Restaurant

This place is my fav when the kimchee and bul go gi cravings hit. Affordable, stylin and tasty are the best ways to describe this cute little spot on the Queen West West strip. Open for many years now this place has a good looking, stylin fan base so arrive early for one of only 6 tables. (no reservations taken). For a korean place they have the best spicy tuna rolls and some other excellent sushi for no meat eaters. Also open for lunch for the gallery hopping crowd.

    Favorite Dish: bul go gi
    mandu
    spicy tuna roll
