My mum is from Co. Louth - a little town called Termonfeckin. We visited every year as children and I have such happy memories of walking the long road to the beach every day. We'd stay all day playing with our cousins and thier friends in the waves and the sand dunes and then walk the mile or so home again to my granny's for white bread with homemade blackberry, or for a real treat, strawberry jam.
