It's a wonderful town

New York City is a phenomenal city. It is beautiful, full of energy, and filled with culture and history. There is so much to see, so many places to visit, and numerous neighborhoods to explore that you will not be able to do everything in one trip. All the more reason why you have to go back again, and again. I was born in New York City so I have fabulous memories from my childhood. I still love going back to visit. There is a wonderful spirit to this place that you can't find anywhere else.

Christmas is the best time to visit

The best time to visit New York City is at Christmas time. The city is at it's prettiest and most festive. The department stores are exquisitely decorated, and if it happens to snow, well then the entire city is magical.

Buildings, buildings everywhere!

Look closely, because the artwork and craftsmanship on some of the buildings in New York City is really lovely.

Cons:New Yorkers can sometimes be rude, and the taxi drivers can be insane

"Nothing comes close"???? Obviously you haven't travelled much, this is probably one of the worst toy stores there is. Poor selection, bad service and inflated prices. My advice shop outside of NYC for toys.

Chinatown was also one of my favorites. I wish I had reconsidered South St Seaport for my night photos . . . I left without getting the ones I wanted.

Great pages on New York, my 2nd favorite city in the U.S. You have a lot of very informative tips here. It's a good guide for any visitor to the Big Apple. I've enjoyed each one of my many visits.
