If you are in Southern California, you should not miss the city of Avalon and the island of Catalina.
A day trip is lovely and quite different from the rest of Los Angeles and Orange County.
The island is full of things to see, and the nature is wonderful. |
|  | There are many tours that take you around the island by boat that are really wonderful. The boat trips are just a few hours long and very fun and pictuesque. You can see flying fish, sea lions, and the water is so clear you can see the orange garibaldi fish from the boat, or shore. |
The Casino is an interesting tourist attraction on Avalon. It was never used as a Casino, but as a dance hall. It is still used as a movie theatre. It was built in the 1930s, and has some lovely tile and iron work on the building. | | |
