If Florence does not touch you on some emotional level, then check your pulse. It is a triumph of humanity. I am privlidged that I have been able to visit 3 times. I intend to go back again and again. I'll never be able to take in all that the city has to offer. Lovely beyound words. So rich with history and art, and set in a very compact area. Don't forget to explore the countryside.

Pros:Art, Beauty, History and then some
Cons:Traffic and parking can be difficult, watch out for touristy restaurants
In a nutshell:One of the most fantastic cities in the world, not to be missed!

Great introduction. Sorry about the bad experiences with restaurants. We, on the other hand, had good luck. Some wonderful photographs to accompany your solid, honest text.

the only thing thar Florence misses is the sea. If there was the sea, Florence would be perfect! It's just too hot and humid during the summer, especially if u have to work ahah nice pics^__^
