"Palau, Land of Blue Waters" Palau by pigletsmom

Palau Travel Guide: 14 reviews and 12 photos

Beautiful Scenery, but absolutely no culture

Palau is gorgeous, but reminds me of Baja Mexico. Palau has no Italian culture or history, which was very surprising to me. Palau was built about 40 years ago, every building is relatively new. The history and culture of Sardinia is in the interior of the island, not on the coasts. Palau was lovely but dissapointing.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Beautiful Scenery and lovely blue waters
  • Cons:Absolutely no culture or history, terrible shopping
  • In a nutshell:Very little charm, which was amazing considering it's part of Italy

Great market. I think there is also one during the evening (not sure which day) that has lots of handicrafts and great sweets.

A lot of islands in the Med look very similar to the landscape of Catalina. A little more settled, maybe, and no buffalo ;-\
