Another View of Paris

by pigletsmom - last update: Apr 19, 2004

Pretty City, cold reception

View of the city
Paris is not one of my favorite cities, but it is however very photogenic. Putting my differences aside, there are still many things to recommend. One is the isle de la cite which is very lovely, and surprisingly not that crowded. Don't miss the cathedral of San Chapelle, the Musee de Cluny, and the Louvre. The Eiffel Tower at niight by boat is also very beautiul, and should not be missed.
The Louvre, from their website

The Louvre Art Museum

The old palace and courtyard are very pretty and enhance your trip to the Louvre.

Pros:"Beautiful Historic city with so much art it's dizzying"
Cons:"The Parisians are not known for their hospitality"
In A Nutshell:"Worth the visit, but don't over stay your welcome"

Great honest page about Paris! I really enjoyed reading it, getting a more balanced view about this city. I will certainly try out those peanuts, they sound yummie! And having lunch at Square du Vert Galant sounds like a wonderful idea! Thanks :-))
