Finland- land of arid snacks

by bobs12 - last update: Jan 8, 2004

Nice shop, isn't it?

Why do I keep coming back?

My most heavy-duty experience of Finand was when I accidentally ended up riding from Savonlinna to Porvoo by bicycle. I'll never do it again. Halfway between, I saw the shop in the photo above.
Hmmm.

Institutionalised offence

But on closer inspection I decided that the last language on the board was probably mine.

The best thing about Finland is...

...it's a great place to go for peace, quiet and cleanliness when Russia becomes too much.

But after a while it can be just too clean and tidy, know what I mean..?

Okay, I have better pictures and more to share. I promise to do it soon.

If anyone is interested in teaching English in Finland (to Russians) get in touch with me.

Liquorice is the daily food for finnish people (supisuomalaisen!), you better get used to that or just it the much better thing called "Salmiakki" and you are over the moon... ;-)))
