"Time to get the hell out of dodge" Russia by bobs12

On the 12th of May, this page was a miserable, grumpy moan about how much I hate Russia and how much it hates me. Since then quite a lot has changed. I've taken a trip home for a new year-long commercial visa, brought a car back with me and even fallen in love.

In the two years that I've been here so far, I haven't travelled half as much as the people who come passing through. I suppose that's because I live and work here and simply don't find the time.

But when I speak to tourists who stop here on their way back from crazy trips along the Trans Siberian railway, or forays into provincial Russia (something I must admit to being apprehensive of doing on my own) I realise how much I'm missing, and how much Russia has to offer.

So, my resolution is to travel more around Russia while I live here and stop putting it off- who knows what tomorrow holds, I may pack in my job here at a moment's notice and head off to greener grass, never to return.
